At the risk of sounding gay, Stan McDaniel let me hold his dart the other day. Now the story:

I saw Stan McDaniel playing out at 521 the other day. When I yelled to let him play through, he threw his only disc about 250 feet. Why wouldn't he throw a driver 350 feet to the hole? And why did he release this disc flat, and it didn't turn over or fade?

When he pitched down to the hole, he handed me the disc. "How do you like the feel of that?" he asked.

"Wow, that's amazing," I replied. "It's soft, bendy, and overall rubbery. I love it!"

"This is the new 'Dart' by Innova. It stays rubbery, grippy, and soft whether it's 100 degrees or 10. It's super straight and has no turn or fade. It's not too long, but it's not a putter, either."

Hopefully cam won't buy all of these up before we have a chance to get them--it feels a lot like the Pro Line Rhyno, but more rubbery. It also reminds me a little of the flexible star plastic...very grippy. So keep an eye out at Old Town for the new Dart!

more info from http://discgolfer.ning.com/forum/topics/innova-dart :
The latest putt and approach model from Innova is called the Dart. It is similar to the Aviar P & A, except that it has less fade and a little more range. The preliminary numbers are speed=3, glide=4, turn=0 (HSS) och fade=0 (LSS). It is made with a new R-Pro material where R basically stands for Rubber. This material is most similar to JK Pro and Pro Rhyno and it stays very grippy and flexible in cold or wet weather.

The Dart was approved yesterday, it measures like this:
Outside diameter: 21.2 cm (max weight 176.0gr)
Inside rim diameter: 18.8 cm
Height: 2.2 cm
Rim depth: 1.4 cm
Rim thickness: 1.2 cm
Flexibility rating: 5.10 kg
Rim configuration rating: 38.00

Dart will be released together with Star Boss and R-Pro Aviar P & A if everything is running according to plan.
There is a big chance that the Rhyno and Aviar-X will be made in R-Pro in a near future.
